1. Accuracy
Every fact in every article is verified with at least two independent sources when possible. We do not publish rumors, speculation, or unverified claims presented as fact. When we cannot fully verify a story but believe publication serves the public interest, we clearly label the report as preliminary and identify what remains unconfirmed.
2. Independence
The Verita Post is editorially independent. No political party, government entity, corporation, or advertiser has editorial control over our reporting.
3. Sourcing
Named sources are preferred whenever possible. When anonymous sources are used, we do so only when the information is important to the public interest and the source would face serious professional or personal risk from being identified. Anonymous sources are always corroborated with at least one additional source.
4. Corrections
When we make errors, we correct them promptly and transparently. All significant corrections are logged with the date of correction and nature of the change. We do not silently edit published articles.
5. Attribution
All information taken from other sources — including quotes, statistics, and reporting — is properly attributed. We do not present other publications' work as our own.
6. Balance and Fairness
Subjects of critical reporting are given the opportunity to respond before publication. Their responses are included in the story. We seek diverse perspectives, especially on contentious issues.
7. Sponsored Content
Sponsored content is clearly labeled with a visible "Sponsored" badge and, where applicable, the name of the sponsoring organization. Sponsored content is created separately from our editorial reporting and does not influence our news coverage.
8. Conflicts of Interest
Our journalists disclose any personal, financial, or professional conflicts of interest that could reasonably affect their reporting. Where a conflict exists, the reporter is reassigned or the conflict is disclosed prominently in the article.
9. Reader Feedback

10. Privacy and Public Interest
We respect individuals' privacy but recognize that some private matters become public interest when they involve people in positions of power, public trust, or public accountability. Decisions to publish private information are made carefully by senior editors on a case-by-case basis.
