Nigeria Next Generation Network (NNGN) has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Rt. Hon. Hauwa Muhammad Ibrahim, Speaker of the Kano State Children’s Parliament.

In a condolence message, NNGN described the late Speaker as a dedicated child rights advocate who demonstrated remarkable commitment to promoting children’s welfare and ensuring that children had a voice on issues affecting their lives.

The Network noted that throughout her time in the Children’s Parliament, Hauwa was committed to child rights advocacy and the advancement of children’s interests in Kano State.

NNGN said her death represents a painful loss not only to her family and loved ones but also to the Kano State Children’s Parliament, the wider child advocacy community and children across Kano State and Nigeria.

The Network extended its deepest condolences to Hauwa’s family, friends, colleagues and the entire Kano State Children’s Parliament, praying that Allah grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.

NNGN further prayed that Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus and grant her loved ones comfort during this difficult period.

The late Speaker will be remembered for her commitment to giving children a voice and advocating for their rights, welfare and future.
