The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Osun State College of Health Technology (OSCOHEALTH), Ilesa, has distanced itself from a flyer circulating on students’ WhatsApp statuses and social media platforms announcing an alleged collaboration party between the institution and the University of Ilesa (UNILESH).

The clarification was made by the SUG Social Director(Salami Victor) following concerns raised by students over the authenticity of the flyer.

According to the Social Director, neither the SUG nor the appropriate officers responsible for social activities were consulted or contacted before the flyer was circulated.

The Social Director and Directress also confirmed that they were not approached and that no agreement had been reached with them regarding the proposed collaboration or event.

The SUG stressed that no individual officer has the authority to independently approve or commit OSCOHEALTH to any collaboration without proper consultation with the relevant officers and approval from the Union leadership.

The Union therefore urged students to disregard the circulating flyer as an official SUG or OSCOHEALTH announcement until further clarification is provided.

The Social Director further appealed to anyone with useful information concerning the organisers or source of the flyer to contact the Office of the Social Director.

The Union assured students that any legitimate collaboration or social event involving the SUG would be properly communicated through official channels.

Students were advised to exercise caution and avoid acting on unverified information circulating on social media.
