Adebanjo Oluolamide, a graduate of Lagos State University (LASU), has achieved a remarkable 4.97 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in Aerospace Engineering, making him the overall best graduating student for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Oluolamide's score represents the highest graduating mark recorded by the university for the session. He earned First Class Honours, graduating among 8,653 students across all faculties.

He shared his achievement on X, formerly Twitter, attributing his success to divine grace and acknowledging the significant effort invested in his undergraduate studies. "All glory to God for His grace, wisdom, and strength every step of the way. What God cannot do does not exist!" he posted.

Beyond his academic performance, Oluolamide was also actively involved in research and extracurricular activities. On August 9, he announced receiving the Scholar of the Year award at the AESA-LASU Dinner for the second time during his undergraduate tenure. He described the award as a fitting conclusion to years of dedicated work, stating, "Late nights, heavy research, and relentless focus paid off."

His research endeavors also gained external recognition. In July, Oluolamide revealed that two of his research papers were accepted for presentation at the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ NAICE 2026 conference in Lagos. He had sought financial assistance of ₦200,000 to cover his participation and presentation costs.

Oluolamide is among the thousands of students expected to be conferred with degrees during LASU's combined 29th and 30th convocation ceremonies, scheduled to take place from August 14 to August 23.
